Catching Up...

Dear Blogger Friends,

Sorry about my lack of posting! I've been a little overwhelmed by the tremendous amount of school I have this semester. There has been little or no free time for me the past couple of weeks. Not only am I incredibly busy with school but I'm getting my piano students and myself ready for the recital that I'm putting on April 12th. I've missed being able to post everyday, and catch up with everyone as well. I thought I would try and catch you up with all the events of last week. Mondays are my big school day and I had piano lessons in the evening. Tuesdays are my violin lesson days and lately I've been practicing with my good friend Lisa for the piano recital we are doing together next month. We are playing a duet and are very excited that it is coming together very nicely! Wednesdays are another school day and then I get to go to church in the evening!! Thursdays are the funnest days for me because I get to go into my old elementary school and assist my favorite elementary teacher in whatever I can do to help out. It is such great practice for me and I know it will help me not to just get great practice teaching kids but will help me be a fun, loving, encouraging teacher. I think that is the kind of teacher little kids need. This Thursday was a special Thursday because it was my brother Justin's 12th birthday. It was fun being in school with him that day because he brought in ice cream for the entire class! Yes, I did get some!!!! I also had a great excuse for getting out of work and that is always a treat!!! We enjoyed a delicious birthday meal made by my mother, and a yummy ice cream cake made by Aunt Debbie! We had a great night together. Fridays have become something new for me. I decided that I would try taking up English horse riding lessons. Yes, this will definitely be a surprise to some. My brother Justin has been taking lesson for a while now, and I have enjoyed watching him on the side lines and thought it might be fun if I joined in on his love for horse riding myself. It has been fun doing it together. I don't know how long this will last; but, for the time being we are having a great time! Friday night me and my best friend got together and had a sleepover which we haven't done in a while. Because our lives are both changing and we are both working and doing school, our schedules are so different now. I love every moment that we get to catch up and spend time together laughing and having a great time! Saturday was a great day. Our entire family got together to celebrate my brother and cousin Ben's birthday! We don't always get together so when we do we have a lot of great laughs and enjoy catching up on what we've all been up to. As you can tell it was a packed week of work, school, and lots of fun! Even though I have a bit of a busy life, I wouldn't change the life that God has given me for anything in the world. Through my school, and the tremendous preaching we've been having in my church, God has been really doing a work in my life and I know He is preparing me for all that lay ahead...

Enjoy these pics of the party...
