On Monday my mom received a last minute email from the Martha Stewart Show inviting us to join them on Wednesday February 13th! We were so excited because we had been waiting a LONG time to be able to go and see her show.
So, Yesterday at 9:11 my mom, Aunt Amy, Abbey, and me jumped on the train heading for NYC!!! We got into the city at about 10:30, grabbed a Starbucks and something small for a late breakfast and headed directly to Chelsea Television Studios to go see the show! Oh, I forgot, before we headed to the studio we had to go to Macy's because I could no longer walk on the slippery, wet streets of the city in the shoes I had decided to wear. So, there we all found ourselves searching through Macy's trying to discover I think the only 5 1/2 in the entire store!!!! Sorry guys. Anyway, finally we were on our way. When we got to the studios we were so happy to find out we were only about the 25th people in line, which was really good seeing how there were 170 people at the show that day! We had so much fun at the show seeing all the behind the scenes work that goes into producing just an hour show! I give them all credit. Martha was terrific, she is so relaxed and such an easy-going person, I love her! I have to tell you about one other person at the studio, JOEY!!!! Joey is is such a ball of energy! He is the guy that gives the audience all the signals to stand when Martha enters, to sit, to clap, to say "YUM" etc. He makes the show a blast on commercial time by handing out free gifts, telling hilarious jokes, of which I won't spoil, you'll have to go and hear them for yourself! All in all the show is such a neat experience, I'll NEVER forget it. After the show we decided to grab a late lunch before heading on to the train ride home. We stopped at Chipotle's, which is a great Mexican Grill, YUMMO! We caught the 5:22 train back home and headed straight to church for Wednesday night services. What a fun, memorable day...
