I wanted to thank everyone for your kindness to me on my birthday. You all made me feel so special by leaving a comment on my blog or Abbey's, by sending me a card in the mail, or by giving me a phone call! I love you all so very much and am thankful that you are all a part of my life.
Yesterday was one of the greatest, and most eventful birthdays in my life! Let me share with you a few of the events of yesterday.
My family took me out to lunch to one of our favorite restaurants, Saviano's!!! It was absolutely delicious!
My mom and dad surprised me with a very special gift. There is a little story behind it so I thought I would give you a really short version. During our church family camp in September, I had lost my ruby ring while riding the ATV's! It was my sweet sixteen present, and it was very special to me. Well, to my surprise, my parents bought me a beautiful antique ruby ring for my birthday! I can't thank them enough, it meant the world to me!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, yesterday was my Nana's birthday also. So our entire family decided to go to the nursing home and have little birthday party for. She enjoyed it very much!! Here are some pictures from the day...
Me and my brothers, the sweater I'm wearing was there present to me.
All of us...
My Ring!!!
My mom wrapped it with a pair of pretty red gloves, good idea Abs!
Me and Nana
Our cake~
Blowing out the candles!
The twins Shawn and Emily
Ella loved the balloons and it looked so cute with her pink outfit!
Alex loved the fish so much he tried kissing them through the glass!
Brendan, Thomas, and me!
Just when we thought the day was finished, we got a surprise phone call!!!! My cousin Kristy was going to have her baby tonight. My mom and I drove over to watch her little boy Benjamin while she went to the hospital.
Baby Max was born on November 16, at 11:59 p.m!!! He just made it on my birthday...so there's another person that shares the same birthday as me!!! so to literally the last minute of the day, the fun never stopped!!!
I'll post some pictures of him as soon as I can!!!
I am soooooo far behind with what I'm thankful for, so I thought I would do a shorter version to catch up!

When I think of all the things I've been blessed with an overwhelming feeling comes over me. My life is so full, and I have no right to have a spirit of unthankfulness , EVER! So here are a few more things that I'm thankful for...
I'm thankful for my Pap and Grandma Johnston- You have been two of the biggest blessings in my life and my families. I will never forget all you've done for me personally. Some of my most wonderful memories have been spent with you and in your home. I will never forget the time we went to Pennsylvania and went hiking through the woods and wading through those little creeks!(most of the time!!) How we ate a cute little picnic lunch and just enjoyed being together. The thing that comes to find first though out of everything you've done for me is when you surprised me and bought me my very own piano, you will never know how much I love and appreciate you both.
I'm also thankful for my Pop and Grandma Kidd- I love you both very much. It has always meant so much to me the times you've showed your love for me in coming to many of my different concerts in the city, and if you couldn't for always being so encouraging and showing how proud you were of me. I will never forget the countless summers that we would all come over to your how and go swimming in your pool, and my favorite part was your raspberry and blackberry bush that was in the perfect spot. I remember just reaching my hand right over the side of the pool and grabbing a bunch of delicious berries, and we didn't seem to mind washing them in the chlorine water either! I love you very much.
I'm thankful for all my Uncles- Uncle Mike, Uncle Steve, Uncle Kelvin, My two other Uncle Michaels, Uncle Tim, Uncle John, I love you all.
I'm thankful for all my Aunts- Aunt Amy, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Briget, Aunt Tina, Aunt Michelle, Aunt Vicky, Aunt Karen, I love you all.
I'm thankful for all my Cousins- There are so many I don't even think could remember all their name but I love you all.
I'm thankful for the house that I live in, the clothes that I wear, and the beautiful creation that God has given to all to enjoy!
Ok, I think I caught up, now hopefully I'll be able to stay on schedule from now on!
I've pretty much recovered from this horrible cold I've had. I thought I would start off by wishing a very special friend a Happy Birthday!!!!
Happy Birthday to a very special friend, Emily! Em, I hope your day was as special as you are...I love you very very much~
Sorry it's a day late!

"Rainy Days..."
What is it about rainy days that just make you feel like you have to bake something?? As soon as I opened my eyes and saw the gray sky I knew what my day was going to hold. Cleaning, Laundry, and of course BAKING was going to be on my agenda! I'm so thankful for rainy days, it gives you the chance to stay inside and catch up on all the little things that need to be done around the house!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!! My mom is going to be out for most of the day, so I figured I might make a nice big pot of homemade vegetable soup for dinner. I thought it might be a nice cozy thing to have for dinner on this rainy day. Anyway, rainy days are so enjoyable to me and I love when they come along every now and again!
I've been trying to record one thing a day that I'm thankful for. I'm a little behind so I thought I would post a couple tonight!!

"My Friends..."
God has been so good to me in blessing me with some of the greatest friends a person could ever want. Each one of them posses such wonderful characters traits and I love them all for so many different reasons. Some of my friends are outspoken, friendly, and maybe just a little crazy at times.(Kinda like myself) But, some of them are quite, reserved, and slow to express what might be going through their mind. But, someone how we all make such a happy bunch of friends!!! I could not imagine my life without all of you, I love you all very very much...

"The Seasons..."
I am so thankful that I live in a place like Long Island. We are so blessed to be able to enjoy all four of the magnificent seasons, each one bringing its own pleasures!
Spring- The young, beautiful flowers popping their heads up after a long, hard Winter. The fresh air and the smell of rain coming...I love that
Summer- A time for barbecues, pool parties, roasting marshmallows on the fire, etc. I love going to the beach to watch the sun go down and grabbing a Ralph's Italian ice on the way. There's nothing like a long, warm Summer's day!
Fall- I love when you begin to sense that crisp, clean air coming...the time for corduroy and jean jackets! The cozy time of year for all your favorite soups and warm, cozy drinks!! I love it...
Winter- Time to break out your heavy sweaters and warm woolen jackets. The pleasurable time of year to watch the very first snow of the season fall gently to the ground as you sit by your warm fireplace. (At least that's what I like to do.) It's the one time of year to enjoy sledding and snow ball fights with your siblings...
What pleasure God has allowed us to enjoy during every time of year! I'm so thankful for each...
Today I went with my Aunt Debbie to go clean a ladies house that she knows. When we got there I agreed that I would go upstairs and start cleaning the Master Bedrooms' Bathroom. I began to wipe down the counters when all of a sudden a loud, annoying buzz came flying past my ears!!! I quickly looked up and noticed two bees flying around getting themselves zapped in the high hats!!!! I quickly ran out of the bathroom and shut the door quickly behind me!! WHEW!!! I than ran to the top of the stairs and called for my Aunt Deb to come quick because there were bees flying around the bathroom. My aunt started to laugh because I was such a chicken!!! I have to admit it, I was really creeped out! She slowly opened the door and I noticed they were flying by the window!! My aunt grabbed a towel and slowly crept up and began swatting at the bees. She got one but she only made the other bee more angry!!! It came flying over by me who was practically shivering in the corner!!! LOL!!! Finally she got him. As my aunt was about to go back to her cleaning I noticed that about two or three more bees were crawling up on the window again!!! So here we go again I thought to myself. My aunt began to swat at the bees again and every time she did, more and more started coming out of the crease of the window. In the end we had killed FOURTEEN bees!!!!! You have to imagine how fast I finished cleaning the bathroom, I wanted nothing more than to be out of there!!!! It was actually so funny in the end, my aunt and I were laughing about it the rest of the day. What a hilarious day, I will definitely never forget it...

Today my brother Justin and I decided to play a game of Horseopoly. It is just like Monopoly but it's all about horses. I have been really into this game lately. My dog Riley stood right beside my bed with his little head peeking up to get a view of what we were doing. He was enthralled with this game as much as we were!!!! He stood there for just about the entire game, with his ears poking up every time we rolled the dice. He even stayed there staring at the game as I took his picture!!! It was soooooooooo funny.
Enjoy this great picture of Riley...

"The Bible..."
What a privilege it is to have the freedom to read and own the Word of God! My life we be so different without the Bible to guide and direct me through out life's journey. The Word of God has the answers to all of lives questions and problems, if not directly then in principles. Therefore why do we need the counsel of the ungodly, truthfully we don't!!! The older I get and the more I strive to study the Bible the more I realize that if only we would all take heed to the things written in it our lives could be so much more simple. If only the world knew the joy it brings to ones life to know the Author of this wonderful book, where would we all be! Getting a little narrower, I as a Christian do not believe the idea that all the so called "Bibles" are the same or just "Updated." Recently as I've been taking some college courses at home, I was required to read a book entitle "Things That Are Different Are Not The Same." It was a wonderful book that I would encourage all to read. It clearly explains that all Bibles are not equal. It proves that "Bibles" that have been said to be "easier to understand" have actually changed or even removed whole portions of scripture. The Bible clearly states in Revelation 22:18-19 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away His part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." I don't understand what excuses people can make for doing exactly what these verses say not to do. I would not want to be in these peoples shoes when they stand before God one day. The Bible is the greatest treasure that I own, I will always be grateful to have a copy of the original1611 King James Version!!!

"My Family..."
God's greatest blessing to me outside of my salvation has been my family! I find myself each day growing more and more thankful to God for placing me in the family He did. My family accepts me for I who I am and yet are always helping me to become better. They are there to guide and direct me when I'm not sure which way I should go. They are the ones who encourage me to do God's will for my life despite what others think!
Dad- I love you for your constant concern for the needs of our family, and the pleasure you take in seeing the three of us turn out right. I love you for taking time out for each one of us to do something that we love. For running me all over the world, and the laughs we share in the mean time. I love your wonderful personality and how I know what you are thinking before you say it! You are my greatest hero, and I love you more than words could ever say... Mom- I love you for your selflessness, for your desire to be a blessing to everyone no matter what the cost. I love you for the way you take pride in the appearance of your children and your home! I love the time we spend together. I love being alone with you and sharing exactly what's on my heart and knowing you will help me put everything into perspective. I love you for the energy you bring to our family by just being you!! I love you so much...
Josh- I love you for your desire to be a leader and not a follower. I love you for your tenderheartedness for the things of God. I love you for your fun personality and the way I can get you to laugh at my silly "Annie Walker" character! I love spending time with you just watching a hockey game or cheering you on at your baseball games. I'm so proud of you, keep it up!!
Justin- I love you for your individuality, for your unique interest in so many things. I love the way you make others feel so important and how you are quick to include others. I love when you come in my room and ask if you can come in and watch a movie with me. I love when you try to squeeze yourself into my bed and then make excuses for why you need to sleep in my room. I love you very much.
You are all soooooo important to me, and I thank God for giving me you all!!!!!

This month being Thanksgiving month, I thought I would start writing a little series called, "Thirty Things I am Thankful For." I will post one thing for every day of the month.
Nov.1-#1~
"My Church..."
Of course everyone knows that yesterday was Halloween...this has got to be my least favorite day of the entire year!!! It amazes me how much more horrible the costumes become every year. What's even worse is that the ADULTS now partake in this holiday, and the costumes that they chose to wear are even creepier and more filthy to me. I was sooooooo happy when a couple of weeks ago I found out that our family wasn't going to have to spend another Halloween trying to hide from the SCARY trick or treaters, instead we were going to be safe inside our beautiful church!!! If that wasn't good enough, we were going to be enjoying a delicious Harvest Dinner together. We had such a wonderful time together, as always!!!! It's my opinion that we should do this every year. I have been attending Long Island Baptist Church since I was baby. I have been raised in this wonderful church, and taught about God, how to develop good character, that our sole purpose here on earth is to bring glory to God, that all are sinners and need to be saved, etc. Through our church I realized my personal need to be saved and receive Jesus Christ as my Saviour. I have learned invaluable lessons that I can carry through all of life with me. Recently in our girls Sunday school class, with our teacher Mrs. Graf, we have been learning about how to prepare for marriage. Mrs. Graf has been teaching us how as young girls we should be keeping our hearts for the one we are going to marry one day. That we should not just give our hearts to anyone that comes along, how strange this must sound to so many. But, why should I just settle for anyone, why shouldn't I wait for the one that God has planned for me??? To me this only makes sense. And as my Pastor would say, "If the plain sense makes common sense seek no other sense or it becomes nonsense!" SUCH WISDOM I think!!! So to sum this all up, my church is one of God's greatest blessings to me; where would I be without it!!!
~Thanks for taking time to read this, I hope you enjoy my posts for November!
